Unbridled Perspective

So about ten years ago, the movie My Friend Flicka, an old western from 1943, was remade for today’s world.

I never watched it. I was a huge fan of the original movie, and in fact the original book. I just really didn’t want to ruin the wonderful movie from my childhood by watching a gender swapped remake that probably felt nothing like the original.

I digress.

Breyer came out with Flicka related horses, and I managed to get my hands on one of them. I repainted it as Flicka should look from the movie in 1943.

I’m not happy with how the chestnut colour came out, but once I put some tack on her, she looked a lot better.

I’ve since replaced the English tack with Western.

Flicka is not my favourite custom. In the future I might redo her.
