A few years ago, I rode this quarter horse gelding that captured my heart. He had some vices, but he and I were buddies. I still miss Zack, and consider him one of my favourite horses. So I decided I wanted to try painting him.

I am a hobby photographer in the Ottawa area that specializes in horse and wildlife photography, although I have taken on family photo shoots as well. I prefer to do all my photo shoots without flash, preferably outside with nature as the perfect backdrop. I am an amateur bird watcher and have just begun to dabble in horse model painting. This blog is dedicated to my photography, bird identification, and documenting my model horse and other craft projects.
